Young Leaders for Gender Equality and Respect

Students can stand up, speak out and take action for equal and respectful relationships – an important issue affecting us all.

This guide has been designed to enable primary school teachers, wellbeing staff and group facilitators to run the program and help build student’s (grade 5 and 6) skills and voices on this topic. Students who participate in the activities outlined in this guide will be supported to become leaders for gender equality and respect in their school, by:

  • Learning about equal and healthy relationships
  • Being supported to talk to their teachers and peers on this topic
  • Undertaking a group project to make positive change in their school community

Students involved in this program do not need any prior knowledge on gender equality and respectful relationships.

If you are interested in delivering the program in your school and would like assistance please reach out to prevention@fvree.org.au .

This program is a partnership between FVREE and Inspiro.
